Aore Adventure Lodge
Stay at Aore Adventure Sports & Lodge in your own private, contemporary waterfront beach house, overlooking the calm crystal waters of the Segond Channel during the day and the twinkling lights of Luganville by night. Check out us out
Just a short 5-minute boat ride from Luganville will deliver you to your own tropical Island paradise, yet it’s close enough to access all the amenities and delights Santo has to offer including tours to the Millennium Caves, Blue Holes, World War II sites and the east coast to visit famous Champagne Beach and Port Orly.
Enjoy your own private 200m white sand beach, with crystal clear waters ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking, or just laze in the shade or soak up some rays. We also have some mountain bikes for extended exploration around the island.
Afternoon cocktails and cold beers are a treat sitting watching the sun setting from your private deck or jetty.
If you are into scuba diving or fishing, treat it as your own private dive/fishing resort, with our boat “Full Boar” loading and leaving from the jetty just out front.
The beach house has a fully self-contained kitchen with gas cook-top and convection microwave oven as well as an undercover outside BBQ area, so it is easy to save money on meals or prepare any special gourmet delights you crave. If cooking is not your style, there is one of Santo’s finest dining experiences just next door, only a 100m stroll away or with a short boat ride, all the local restaurants in Luganville are on offer.
We can also offer a service for prearranging food supplies for you, or you can stop at one of the local supermarkets and fresh markets once you arrive.
There is a HiFi/DVD player with a selection of music and movies for lazy days and evenings or bring your own phone or iPod to connect into the system.
High speed WiFi is also included with the accommodation.
The beach house is nestled on 5 acres of waterfront land on the lee side of Aore Island which offers protection from the trade winds, ideal conditions for boating and water sports and is safe to swim for children. Walk around our lush gardens or if you have kids there is plenty of grassed area to run around and play.
Transfers to and from Luganville can be arranged on a need be basis as well as any tours or activities you wish to participate in on Santo or nearby Islands. There are also cheap water taxi’s available everyday if required.
If you’re into bush walking, there are plenty of roads and bush tracks that lead to old coffee and cocoa plantations and many World War two bunkers that were built by the Americans during WWII and used to store ammunition and supplies. The bunkers are now home to tens of thousands of swiftlets (small swallows) – spectacular to see if you are a keen bird watcher! On the way you’ll pass through Banyan forests, which are made up of giant Banyan fig trees which are a parasitic fig that overtakes the host tree and can grow up to 30 meters high!
If the local indigenous way of life intrigues, you it might be interesting to visit the local primary school or one of the local island villages.
Your tropical island adventure starts right here!
